A few years ago I was part of a quite extraordinary project. This was a coming together of two countries, two regions ( Devon and Brittany) with an identical mythic Arthurian lore and celtic tribal heritage, funded by the EEC. This was The Shared Legends Project, a joint venture between Le Centre de l' Imagainaire Arthurien and The Chagford Filmmaking Group, and the theme was Sir Lanval, an Arthurian knight with a faery lover, who is pursued by Guinevere. It comprised of a UK made film and an exhibition of fine art and sculpture, 26 of the top name artists in the ' faery' genre - 13 artists from Britain and 13 from France, I was UK curator/artists co-ordinator.
