Aje' is an orisha (goddess) from the Yoruba faith and likened to her sister the Hindu goddess of wealth and abundance, Lakshmi, as well as tarot' s Queen Of Pentacles/Coins. She' s the daughter of the sea god Olokun.. the portal to his aquatic domain is behind her. Aje' rises from a river of gold poured forth by the unlimited source of the majestic elephants' celestial gateway. Lots of time and love went into this piece, every paint stroke a blessing of abundance!
