Born in Santa Monica and raised in Tokyo, Tohru Patrick started his career as a rookie designer at Japanese CG studio in Tokyo. He then moved back to California in 2001 and has worked as a character/concept designer for animated films such as "Valiant"(Disney Feature Animation), "9" (Focus Features), "Legend of the Guardians" (Warner Bros), as well as TV series "TRON: Uprising" (Disney Television), "Tinker Bell"(Disney Toon) and many other development projects in the industry.

Besides his production work, Tohru Patrick also has attached a great deal of traditional watercolor painting of his own and has been widely acclaimed in this feild.
His paintings are showcased at numerous gallery shows in LA, SF and NY.
