Chris Rossow is a fine artist, illustrator and commissioned portrait painter who works in oil, graphite and digital media. Moving seamlessly among various media, Chris is recognized for his portraits, figurative drawings, landscapes and digital work.
Among Chris's accomplishments is the inclusion of his painting, Sheikh Yorum, in the publication, Infected by Art Volume 4, In addition, he has completed commissioned work for a private clients.
For the past three years, Chris has honed his skills in fine arts and illustration at the esteemed Watts Atelier, in Encinitas, CA. Prior to that, Chris studied traditional fine arts at The Art Students League of New York. Chris holds a bachelors degree in Fine Arts from Tufts University and The Museum School in Boston, MA.
In other artistic endeavors, Chris is a drummer who has performed with musical groups in various venues. He was also an art director at several of New York's top ad agencies, including Ogilvy, DDB and McGarry Bowen.
Originally from the east coast, Chris now resides in San Diego with his wife, Jacqueline, and daughter, Collette.
