Christophe Vacher is a two-time Emmy Award Winner and two-time Annie Award Nominee who has provided artwork for the Animation industry and most major Hollywood Studios since 1989 as a painter, designer and Art Director.
He worked on movies such as The Hunchback of Notre-Dame, Tarzan, Fantasia 2000, Dinosaur, Treasure Planet, Enchanted, and 9. He has Art Directed two Transformers TV series, the Dreamworks CG animated series: "Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous" and Disney's limited series "Iwaju."
Originally French, he now lives in California. His personal work can be seen permanently in several galleries and various collections in Europe and the United States.
The style of Christophe's personal work takes its roots in Contemporary Imaginative Realism, drawing inspiration from a wide variety of classical painting schools, including the European Symbolists, Art Nouveau and Art Deco, yet reshaped into a modern type of imagery in which imagination and polished craftsmanship prevail. He is also inspired by painters like the Hudson River School, The American Realists, The Romantics and more contemporary artists like Sandorfi, Beksinski, Ugarte and Les Visionnaires in France.
Travel and music are a large part of his inspiration as well.
