About Joseph Bellofatto
Joseph Bellofatto is a fine artist who works primarily in oils and graphite and currently resides in the Raleigh, NC area with his wife. His work is primarily that of 'imaginative realism' (heroic/romantic fantasy and mythological themes) and has appeared in art galleries across the US. A three time finalist in the Art Renewal Center’s annual Salon competition, several times selected to appear in the Infected By Art (IBA) yearly art annual. The artist is a member of Oil Painters of America (OPA), the International Guild of Realism (IGOR) and both organizations have selected his work for regional and national exhibitions.

| Projects: | Working on either personal pieces or private commissions. Displays his work in galleries, conventions and art festivals. Currently working on a mermaid project (Mermaids of the World) centered on paintings and posters of mermaids. Half of the paintings originally conceived and half inspired by well known paintings of the nineteenth century. The posters for the project are crafted in the stylings of Alphonse Mucha |
