For fifteen years Barry Barnes, who earned a BFA in illustration from California State University Long Beach, has provided art direction, design, and illustration services for clients like KitchenAid, Cuisinart and Macy's department stores, while also handling book, cd covers and other art for authors and others including John R. Platt, Brian Keene, Mark McLaughlin, Joe R. Lansdale, Thomas Disch and Aurora Snow. He is the recipient of 3 Packaging Design and 14 American Graphic Design Awards for excellence by Graphic Design USA magazine. His digital art has been recognized by Creativity magazine and Graphis for it's photography. Barry's art is in the collections of the United States Air Force, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and has been included in the Los Angeles Society of Illustrators annual Illustration West exhibit. Recent work can be seen in the books Aphrodisia 2; Art of the Female Form, Creativity 39, The World's Greatest Erotic Art of Today, volume 3, 3x3 Directory of Illustration, Graphis Photography 2017 to 2020, Graphis Nudes 5, and Zombie Circus. His silk screens have hung and sold in shows in both the United States and Canada. Barry works as an illustrator, designer and print maker through his company Trained Eye Graphics.
