About Lydia Burris
My aim as an artist is to explore - both the otherworldly and the innerworldly.
I am inspired by the sense of dreams: a place of ambiguity, emotion and surrealism, peppered with snippets of symbolism and meaning. The mind and how it works is a recurring theme in my artwork.
In the studio I experiments with both 2D and 3D mediums. I splatter, scrape, construct, destroy, and reconstruct my way through the creative process.
My drive is a constant yearning to use a multitude of artistic experiences and materials to bring new worlds and characters to fruition.
