Hugo Bravo's influences encompass fellow artists, visits to the local comic book shops and book stores as well as pilgrimages to the greatest of museums—including the Met, Prado and Louvre. Hugo Bravo is a freelance illustrator living in New York City.
Upon graduating from high school, he served a four year tour of duty in the United States Marine Corps. After an honorable discharge, he enrolled at the Fashion Institute of Technology in late 1988 to focus his natural artistic talent. Hugo then immersed himself in the inspired and varied art scene. Formative years in the early 90’s were spent as a member of the artist collective SOL Concepts participating in group art exhibits, while working for the independent film industry as storyboard artist, scenic artist, and art director.
Since beginning his professional career in 1992, Hugo's work spans a variety of genres, including novels, comics and film. He recently finished the cover art for the third novel in the "Redeem The Knight" series for author David V. Mammina.
