Infected by Art Book - Volume 10

James Mravec has been illustrating and working on interactive media projects for over 30 years. He graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Art and started immediately freelancing concept development ideas for the toy industry. Over the years, he has completed illustrations for books, graphic novels, children's books, magazines, wall paper and paper products.

In 2000, James Mravec was hired to teach illustration classes at the Cleveland Institute of Art. His digital knowledge allowed him to teach design and art software classes as well. Over the years, he has also taught design and illustration classes at Cuyahoga Community College, Kent State University and Middle Tennessee State University. He currently is teaching at the Cleveland Institute of Art.

Mravec graduated from the Hartford Art School's Low Residency Illustration MFA program in the summer of 2016. If he’s not teaching or painting his own personal work you can find him freelancing illustrations and animations.
