April Solomon’s Biography April Solomon is a freelance illustrator and fine artist who has dedicated her life to drawing and painting beautiful and terrifying mythical creatures in all forms of traditional medium such as Oil, acrylic, gouache, watercolor, and colored pencil. Born and raised in Laguna Beach, CA to a family of career artists. During her years of basic schooling, April practiced long hours rendering and studying human and animal anatomy to better realize a more convincing fictional creature. In 2007 Ms. Solomon moved to British Columbia, Canada where she began exhibiting her art at coffee houses, fine art galleries, painting murals for residential and commercial spaces, and at conventions such as V-con in Vancouver and the Emerald City comic-con in Seattle where she landed her first job as a character/comic book concept artist with QEW Publishing. In 2013 Ms. Solomon returned to her home town Laguna Beach, CA where she continues to exhibit her unique fantasy artwork at the renowned Sawdust Festival in Laguna Beach, Wonder-con in Anaheim and CTN (Creative Talent Network) in Burbank CA, and Designer-Con. She is currently completing her BFA in Illustration at the Laguna College of Art and Design.
