Patrick J. Jones is an award winning SF & Fantasy artist and teacher. His work is collected and published worldwide and his client list includes companies such as Disney, Mattel, Warner Bros., Lucas film and Roc books.

Patrick grew up in Belfast, Ireland during the worst of the 'troubles'. Influenced by artists Boris Vallejo and Frank Frazetta he spent long days on the sanctuary of rooftops drawing and dreaming of becoming a fantasy artist to the din of street riots below. After two years in the merchant navy he moved to London and spent fifteen years as an illustrator before once more travelling the world.

In 2008 he attended the first IlluXCon event in the U.S. as a guest artist alongside his boyhood art hero, Boris Vallejo. His best selling book, 'Sci-fi & Fantasy Oil Painting Techniques' chronicles the making of artworks produced and commissioned for each yearly IlluXCon show to date.

Patrick now lives in Australia with his loving wife, Cathy, and two fluffy dogs. His online store, www.pjartworks.com provides drawing and painting movie tutorials for students the world over. He also teaches Masterclasses in drawing the figure at private and government universities, and his second book, based on his Masterclass techniques, will be released worldwide in November 2015.
