Description
I've always been fascinated by Arthurian mythos and wanted to come up with my own "Lady of the Lake" concept. In many artistic depictions I've seen, she looks a bit too civilized and I wanted my version to have a more tribal/primal look. Early sources, such as St Gildas’ De Excidio et Conquestu Britanniae (6th century) and Nennius’ Historia Brittonum (9th century) suggest that Arthur could have been a 5th or 6th century British chieftain. I wanted a lady of the lake that reflected the early roots of the legend.
