While painting Fire Within, I felt an energy that brought to mind a variety of similar but different mythological deities such as Lilith or Brigid...Fire Within is the violent flame, unbridled passion, the wild wisdom dwelling within.. she is kundalini rising, reminiscent perhaps of the energies of the Kukulcan. Some refer to this as Shakti. She is purifying change, psychic clearing out, a transmuting force, the mysterious and wild feminine nature.
