...with a heavy heart and weary feet, he walks his last path alone as his ancestors had before him. His father and his grandfather and their fathers too, they are with him, in the gentle caress of the wind, the warm hug of the passing sunlight, the many songs of starlings watching him dissolve into nothing and everything and new life. He follows them willingly. Bravely. Undisturbed. Follows them to his death. Follows them home.
