Description
This piece was created for the 100th anniversary issue of the Burroughs Bulletin, the ultimate Tarzan periodical. The work is based on one of Burroughs original stories, The Quest of Tarzan, whereupon Tarzan is cast away onto an island which turns out to be inhabited by one of the original Mayan rulers! They were also shipwrecked and had been there awhile. I was able to combine my love of South American history and Tarzan for this one, and it was an honor to be included. Designed to be a wraparound cover.
