Projects: Vanessa Wenwieser is an artist, born in Munich, Germany, who has achieved a Fine Art photography degree at the Glasgow School of Art and graduated with a Bachelors Degree with Honours. She uses photography with Adobe Photoshop to create many layered artworks. Her artworks have been widely exhibited in 2022 and 2023, virtually with groups and in several physical exhibitions too, and solo shows, internationally. Her artwork has also been published in some books and magazines. She has always been interested and inspired by fantasy and horror, growing up with the Alpine fairytales of her homeland.

This artwork depicts adversity, when luck isn’t on our side and all the arrows seem to hit us at once. The surreality is that the figure doesn’t seem to be in pain, she is sleeping happily and isn’t even bleeding from the wounds. This only seems to happen in the shadow, from her other existence!? It makes you wonder what is real and what is only a mirage Do we go mostly through life like Zombies only to blossom in our dreamworlds and our innermost desires?
