Projects: Ilona Mingajlo-Wright aka Lightpainted Doll is a Polish-British artist who spent most of her adult life in London, UK, learning and developing artistically. She now lives both in the UK and Poland, interchangeably, as she sculpts, paints, illustrates and photographs. Ilona' s style is predominantly imagivinative or magic realism and her favourite medium is porcelain sculpture. She' s the creator of Lightpainted Dolls- exclusive articulated art porcelain (ball jointed) dolls, entirely handmade by her from scratch to the last detail. No moulds are used. Every creation is One of a Kind. Ilona' s sculptures and art dolls are collectible creations, " painted with light" , as Ilona also produces fine art photographs of her work, glass sculptures and images (lampworking). She' s also an illustrator and painter, as well as interior designer. She appreciates objects with history and soul - they contain the secrets of generations and encapsulate permanence. Ilona is currently working on a set of sculptures in the style of imaginative/magic realism and fantasy, related to nature and the feminine, the role of a woman in the modern world and her personal journey as an artist, mother and the " chosen sensitive" (caretaker, home-maker, multitasker et al.) and how those roles affect her ability to remain genuine to herself.

Location: London, United Kingdom / Szczecin, Poland
