Soft pastels, colored pencils, fixative on Pastelmat paper 100x70cm 2024 Reinterpretation of the painting "Jason and Medea" (1865) by Gustave Moreau. Animal motifs come from various wildlife photos and peregrine falcon photographs by Joel Sartore from the Photo Ark album. The whole piece is also inspired by the comic book Green Lantern Corps Quarterly issue #6 (What Price Honor? story) created by, among others, Travis Charest and Agop Gemdijian. My intention was to combine and transform these various elements in such a way that they would create a completely new value and a completely new, autonomous vision. To complete this artwork I used materials such as: Soft pastels (Sennelier), colored pencils (Polychromos), fixative (SpectraFix with natural ingredients: casein, beeswax, alcohol, water) on Pastelmat (Clairefontaine) together with carbon paper, permanent marker, plastic foil and masking tape.
