Description
The Forgotten Knight 'The smallest of all the knights of King Arthur who fought at the battle of Camlan. He fought valiantly from the trees for his king, but at great expense. He fell. His trusty mouse Squire Pippin was by his side as he passed into the Otherworld. His legend was forgotten, after all which humans can understand the language of the animals of the forest? Who was there to write his story. But it came to me while I dozed under a great Oak tree, something sighed in the leaves above, a breeze shook the boughs and all the small creatures living in that Oak whispered a tale.... and then whispered tell the tale of our hero.... remember....' The Forgotten Knight is a sculpture piece created for Le Centre de l'Imaginaire Arthurien in Broceliande, Brittany, France. Mixed media sculpture created from polymer clay, wire armature, batting, vintage fabrics and faux fur, MDX/MDF.
