Description
Acrylic Ink on cotton rag, 22"x26" This is my contribution to a dragon themed tarot deck. I was assigned the Four of Pentacles. It's a card that, upright, relates to a person being preoccupied with holding onto their personal wealth to the exclusion of all else. I chose to paint a dragon who has been rooted in place holding onto their treasure for so long that the town they rested in has long since been turned to ruins. They're literally rooted in spot, slowly being consumed by the forest growing around them.
