Location: Denver, Colorado

This piece is based on the Medieval 'Unicorn Tapestries' series and is my take on the escape of the unicorn. In the final tapestry the unicorn is captured in a small enclosure with the fruits of a pomegranate tree dripping on its fur. I imagined if she escaped, she would want to destroy that tree. The piece is made from laser cut fabric book paper, silk, real goldwork embroidery threads, watercolor, gouache, 13K white and 24K yellow gold leaf, and vintage glass beads.
