Bloodrock Beach is a place on a planet where simple multicellular creatures live in the chambers within porous rocks. Their lifecycle mirrors that of the tides. In high tide, it lives and reproduces. As soon as the tide drops, everything except for its eggs dies, leaving a red fluid behind which drips down from the rocks until the tide rises again.
