Description
I tried to capture the feeling of quiet reverence that someone might feel if they came upon the legendary sword in the stone. The swamp setting reflects the idea that Avalon might have been a swampy island in central Britain, sometimes surrounded by water and sometimes by dry land, and I've made the sword itself bronze to reflect how ancient it must be and how magical, if such a soft metal could slice through stone.
