Description
Done for the box cover of The Lost Realm expansion set, for The Lord of the Rings LCG. oil on mdf, 19 1/2" x 46 1/4" . It depicts the fortress of Carn Dum, high in the northern Misty Mountains, in the land of Angmar. Early in the Third Age, before the return of Sauron, it was the city of Witch King. From here he waged war against the Northern kingdoms of Arnor. It was destroyed by the Dunedain and the Elves of Lindon, and the Witch King was vanquished. Here we see it being re-established in the time of the War of the Ring.
