Description
This painting came about as one of my first oil paintings of starships of my own design drawing from the inspiration of Syd Mead and John Berkey while adding my own twist. I quickly realized that after that one, working on Board versus canvas for extreme detail really helps. Now I usually only paint on a fine Gessoed board with several sanded coats with a reinforced frame for durability. I then lay down the grounds and stat the work. Designing Starships is very much like designing a beautiful car as they should be great representations of originality, beauty, curvilinear and thoughtful designs. After more and more people saw this piece, they kept seeing a " Cruise Ship in Space" hence the name Star Cruiser. This is an original Oil painting that sells for $950.00 and is 16" x 20" with a large black frame.
