Description
The spirit of a distressed slave woman, she roams the night going to social gatherings to lure and seduce men. She is depicted as an alluring woman, sometimes with the face of an old woman that she hides under a wide brimmed hat. The La Diablesse has one cloven foot covered by a long, beautiful skirt. She uses her body and her charm to distract unsuspecting men away, leading them into the forest where they are never seen again. The only way to break the entrancing spell of the La Diablesse, according to legend, is to notice her cloven foot before you are taken away.
