I have always been a fan of A Rackham work and his influance is their to see in all my artwork. Here a fairy knight and his squire are off to compeat in a joust his steed is a snail and his sword is resting on his sholder whilst around them other fairy folk have gathered to watch them pass. The image is flanked by a greenman above that then blends into a celtic tree of life whilst along the bottom the same tree of life patten is repeated
