When thinking of vanity, I associate it with overwhelming pride and even ego, of course to a point that is " sinful." So I went with an angelic Seraphim who has fallen from grace. Mythologically they use their wings to cover up their body and feet so they are modest, but this angel has degenerated and is now infatuated with herself enough to reveal her body. In addition I thought that she created this heavenly realm so she had others to worship her. Yet she has let it crumble and deteriorate away. You can even see it on her own body, with smudges of dirt, torn dress, and soiled wings. 11 x 15 inches
