A dryad is a tree spirit that has a connection with all living things in its realm, both plant and animal. I have a special love for trees and enjoy giving them honor by creating art on wood. Sometimes the wood is gifted by nature, sometimes bought. I often embellish it with a painted image, copper wire, preserved moss and other findings.. whatever it tells me it needs. In this piece I added abalone, metallic copper paint, tumbled quartz crystal, peacock wing and tail feathers. She measures 26" x 33'
