Published on the cover of Santa Clara Review volume 111. A repaint of an Inktober piece from 2020. I never got the light to work as I wanted but like the idea, so I mounted the original drawing to carton and painted it in acrylics. Now I am much more happy with the outcome. I am currently repeating quite a few drawing as paintings, usually simply overpainting the original, that I liked but wasn' t happy with the final. Inktober pieces are typical candidates with the rush of getting one image done per day and therefore ending up with a lot of images that may not always have had the treatment they deserved but that' s what the other eleven months are for )
