a little image that popped up as I reread the Hobbit, originally was going to be a rough for a larger oil image.....and still may, but sort of turned into its own little painting as well.

it is gouache on a 9 X 12 piece of Strathmore 400 toned paper, the actual image size is 8 X 10.5
