Seasons of Sacrifice

"Seasons of Sacrifice" is a personal project that's been in the back of my mind for many years. I was inspired to create the series after struggling through my own inadequecies as an artist and trying to come to terms with the idea that I wasn't as good as I had wanted to believe. I went through a dark depression and a dry spell, but I felt it was necessary for my own growth.

Literally, "Seasons of Sacrifice," will be a series of pieces themed by season (4 for Spring, 4 for Summer, 4 for Fall and 4 for Winter). The series will tell the visual story of a Druid who experiences omens and sees visions of destruction, and how how he interprets those visions and tries to come to terms with himself, the world around him, and the end of Druidism.

Figuratively, it’s about my own journey: Learning to see my own downfalls, accepting the pain of failure and sacrificing the old in order to embrace real change and self improvement (both in my art and in my personal life).
