Infected by Art 9 Winners Announced

We're thrilled to announce that the jury process for Infected by Art Volume 9 is complete! The strong level of the work submitted certainly made the process more challenging compared to previous volumes. We wanted to extend a huge THANK YOU to the jury panel of Ed Binkley, Tran Nguyen, John Picacio and Dug Stanat, for taking time during the Holidays and their busy schedules to complete the process in record time. I'd also like to mention that this year's jury was one of the most in synch that I've ever seen given the number of entries.

Not only are we able to announce which artworks made it into IBA 9, but we are also prepared to announce which works have won our Grand Prizes and Art Medium Honors. Infected by Art Volume 9 will have 269 artists represented, while still maintaining a similar number of works selected as compared to past volumes, to ensure most artworks are displayed full page in our art annual.

Congratulations to Scott Gustafson for winning this Volume's 1st Place Grand Prize of $1,000 with his artwork entitled St George and the Dragon. Runners up were artworks by Vanessa Lemen with The Seers, Forest Rogers' Dream of Quan Yin, The Dragon Dance by Justin Gerard, and Francesca Resta's Ancient Stones.  Hope Doe was also chosen by her peers to win the Body of Work Award for IBA 9.

The artwork we select for the Cover Award will be chosen at a later time once we are able to review the submissions with our publisher, ArtOrder LLC.

There were 63 artworks that were unanimously selected by the Jury Panel through their rounds of voting that deserve special recognition considering we had almost 2,000 pieces submitted to this year's competition. We've created a page for you to view those pieces as they represent what the Jury Panel felt were the best pieces submitted to IBA 9.

The artwork selected by our Jury Panel represents some of the best works of imaginative realism being created today by artists who have been in the business for many years as well as many up-and-coming artists. It is an incredible honor for us to showcase these works of art. Congratulations to all the artists who have been selected to be a part of Infected by Art Volume 9!
