Projects: The first time I drew a digital sketch was when I was 5 or 6 years old in school. That first sketch was incredibly joyful although exceptionally primitive (both in my skill and the computer program of the time). Since I have been using a tablet to draw and paint. Unlike when working with physical materials in a physical space, in the digital world you can adjust and undo marks in a completely different way. My digital paintings are mostly on few layers. The most amazing part is the scale and brightness of colors that is impossible to recreate with pigment. My finished works are printed once on either canvas or paper as one of a kind paintings instead of digital prints.
Location: United StatesThis digital painting is a self portrait inspired by Rococo paintings. I wanted to make sure this soft study of color was as traditional looking as possible. The scene is a fantasy but I was hoping that the subtle look in her eye could tease and show humility. Her rainbow hair was just like mine at the time of the painting.
