Location: Nottingham, EnglandRed is the first gnome I have built. and is created like my other sculptures over a wire armature She is created from an air drying clay which gives a different feel to a peace when you come to paint it. In addition it is also more fragile than other sculpting mediums. her body is created from reused bubble wrap under a layer of masking tape so she remains light as he denser she gets the more chance of brakeage whilst under construction is a risk. She wears layers of fabric clothing over which I have fashioned a leather leaf corset in contrasting colours. she is finished with a indigo gnome hat complete with bell and the mushrooms are constructed from the same medium as the figure
