(14x18", Oils on canvas board) BORN OF LIGHT is one of my fantasy spacescapes that includes ghostly space cetaceans, dolphins and other oceanic creatures. The subject of this one is the Orion Nebula photographed through a blue filter...and looking very much like the ocean. I have a love of combining the emptiness of space and our oceanic world here on Earth.
