Lovers of the forest floor mingle together, existing in a symbiotic intertwined relationship of roots, mycelium, soft green plants, and detritus. I finished this painting just before starting to read Finding the Mother Tree by Suzanne Simard, and then was blown away to learn about the depth of relationship that fungi have to a healthy forest relationship.
