The Kelpie is a shape-shifting spirit that inhabits lochs in Irish and Scottish folklore. I, living in the Pacific Northwest, surrounded by bull kelp, and a sucker for a good pun, couldn't resist the urge to paint a Bull Kelpie draped in said bull kelp.
