The Faustition theme for these entries is based on the book "Historie of the Damnable Life and deserved death of Dr John Faustus" 1552, most folks might relate this content more toward Goethe's or Marlow's work on Faust. This imagery was borrowed from the silent movie Faust – Eine deutsche Volkssage 1926 produced by UFA. Where Mephistopheles was replaced by the Faustition Spirit of Progress as manifested by the dog. This image focuses on Dr Faustus' first visit to Walpurgis and his distraction with the young woman that he has seduced and left in ruin.
