Projects: I completed work on a large 11'6" x 4' bronze bas relief for Miami University's geology building representing south west Ohio's marine fauna during the Ordovician time period. I also completed work on a diplodocid dinosaur for the Children's Museum of Indianapolis as part of their renovated "Dinosphere Exhibit".
Location: hamilton ohio"Aquilops Americanus" is a sculpture of North America's earliest known ceratopsian dinosaur. It was closely related to psittacosaurus, known from well preserved specimens discovered in China including one that had intact skin with scale patterns, pigmentation and a row of filament-like bristles running along the top of its tail. In my sculpture of Aquilops I borrowed what we know about its Asian cousin to create my reconstruction. This little dinosaur is sculpted like sized and fully grown. I imagine it foraging on the moist shady floor of a forest of gingko and ferns keeping ever alert for its abundant predators. "Aquilops Americanus" is cast bronze on a green soapstone base with dimensions of approximately 30"Long x 12" Wide x 14" High.
