As nanotechnology and neuroscience have made mind to mind communication incredibly ubiquitous, giving people the capability of tapping into each others' thoughts, experiences, and emotions. An open source program has taken this to a global scale, allowing everyone to broadcast their feelings to it, so that one can tap into the collective experiences and emotions of the entirety of humanity, and realize that the emancipation of the individual can never be achieved without the emancipation of society, making it impossible to ignore the suffering your fellow human beings. Borders will dissolve, the nation state will collapse.
