The man in the foreground holds up some talisman against the oncoming apocalypse in the background. The trashcans in the midground contain all the debris and useless memories of lives that are soon to be ended. The suggestion is for the viewer to consider the meaning of life in the face f its own mortality. What are we doing? Why are we here?
