Albatross was an old coastal city built on a natural harbor, with the land rising to form a half-circle of hills a few miles from the water. Over time, the upper city developed, and became a metropolitan area of international merchants and tradesmen, bankers and magicians. Imports and exports brought new and usable materials and textures into the city from regions abroad, while traveling outward were phenomenons and machinations that bore the indelible stamp of Albatross intellect
Thousands came to the city daily, whether seeking trade, knowledge, or sights. At the setting of the last star, the inns and mansions opened their doors, and the shoppes and eateries bustled with color and sound. The impossible lived in Albatross taking flight on the dual wings of faith and science.
