This was created for 78 Tarot's Halloween deck as the 8 of wands card. The prompt was a bunch of witches soaring through the air on a moonlit night, and there was the obvious note that 8 wands needed to appear in the illustration. That was it! The core of this image is that I wanted to portray a group of women just having a plain old great time, unconnected to the troubles of the world. They're flying, they're playing with their magic, turning into frogs and back again -- they're just enjoying themselves. The moon looms large in the background, filling the sky with its blue light -- a time of beauty and mischief.
